Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Tutor of Maths to our King’s Saturday School, overseen by the Director of Innovation and Partnerships.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and people skills, a positive mindset, and be patient and understanding. They will be able to teach their subject confidently and understand how to support and extend pupils’ learning accordingly.

The King’s Saturday School was a new initiative in late 2022, working in partnership with two local primary schools to support their Year 5 pupils to ‘get ahead’ in key areas of their Maths and English learning. This an excellent opportunity for an individual to join our innovative programme and the King’s community. It is a particularly exciting time to be joining the School as we enjoy our superb new facilities at the Myton Road site.

King’s Saturday School will continue to run for the Summer term, catering for two groups of Year 5 pupils. The Maths sessions will be tailored to the individual needs of each school and will last for 30 minutes each. There will be a 15-minute refreshment break between each session. Pupils will be in groups of approximately 10-12, which will be a great support to pupils in our partner schools in the local Warwick community. We hope and envisage this initiative will continue into 2025 and beyond.
