John Port Spencer Academy is looking for a reliable Minibus Driver who will be employed on a casual basis to drive the academy minibus as and when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To drive the Academy Minibus as and when required.
- To ensure children and staff are transported safely.
- Daily maintenance of vehicle i.e. checks on fuel, lights, tyres, oil and water levels. To drive the bus to and arrange delivery and collection of the bus for service appointments.
- To assist with the movement of children and young adults in and out of the vehicle where safe to do so.
- To ensure that the exterior and interior of the vehicle driven is maintained and left in a clean and tidy condition.
Essential Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
- Full clean driving licence D1 entitlement or PSV
- Experience of driving a Minibus or Similar
- Proven knowledge and understanding of health and safety and ability to follow procedures and implement them daily
- Proven ability to use initiative and a common sense approach
Desirable Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
- MIDAS Training
- First Aid Certificate
- Experience of working with children
- Driver CPC
