The Role
Are you passionate about inspiring creativity through music and drama? We are looking for the following:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience teaching Music as the core subject and Drama as an additional subject
- Experience in planning and delivering engaging and innovative lessons
- Inspire students to develop their performance skills and confidence in both disciplines
- A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for creativity and a commitment to student success
- A passion for encouraging and inspiring students’ artistic expression and growth and to develop their performance skills and confidence in both disciplines
- Experience working within a diverse community

Headteacher of the Year (2022-23): Our Headteacher, Arthur Barzey, was honoured to be named The Times UK Headteacher of the Year. This recognition is a testament to the tremendous teaching and learning team we have at Heron Hall.
Secondary School of the Year Finalist (2021): We were delighted to have been selected as a finalist for the UK’s Secondary School of the Year award, run by the prestigious Pearson Teaching Awards, and winning a Bronze Award.
