MYP English Teacher

Qatar Academy Sidra (QAS)  is seeking a teacher for our English department to join our collaborative and vibrant teaching team from G6 to Grade 10 for the 2025-26 school year.

The position would appeal to a teacher who had training and qualifications to teach at the MYP levels in English.

The MYP English Teacher is responsible for developing the approved curriculum in their area of expertise, teaching the curriculum, managing student behavior in their classroom, and carrying out teaching duties as outlined in the school handbook.

The successful candidate for this position will be willing to be part of a collaborative team who values kindness, builds strong relationships and demonstrates respect and integrity.

They will also:

•        Work in partnership with parents in providing a quality education experience for all the students

•        Coordinate with the grade level team and specialists

·       Plan and deliver a program of study designed to teach the curricular standards, benchmarks and outcomes, while meeting the individual needs, interests and abilities of the student, for the enhancement of student learning.

•        Conduct engaging, well-planned and well-paced classes, using a variety of instructional techniques, differentiation, strategies, and media appropriate to the lesson and the needs and capabilities of the students;

·       Assess for learning and advise students on ways to improve and maintain performance.

•        Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons according to PUE and regulatory safeguarding requirements including but not limited to the provisions of the PUE Child Protection Policy

He / She would also be a part of the most international school in the QF family with about 900 students, QAS is organized into Primary and Senior School divisions.

Attributes & Experience:

•        Bachelor’s degree in education-related field or relevant subject matter.

·       Teaching certification

·           Minimum 2 years teaching experience teaching in relevant grade level or the relevant subject matter.                                      

•        International Baccalaureate DP/MYP experience is a must.
