The Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chinese Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality language instruction that supports students’ linguistic and cultural development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement engaging and interactive Chinese language lessons tailored to different proficiency levels.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages language acquisition and cultural appreciation.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the school community.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in the classroom.

Requirements

  • A degree in Chinese Language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an internationally recognized teaching certification.
  • Previous experience teaching Chinese, preferably in an international school setting.
  • Strong understanding of language acquisition methodologies and best teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Native Mandarin Chinese with English (additional languages are an advantage).
  • Ensure you have strong classroom management skills.
