Woodview School are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to join our Therapy team.  

We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and passionate people to become an integral part of our therapy team. The successful candidate will join our multi-disciplinary team, which may suit someone experienced in a special needs environment or newly qualified, who will be required to work closely with other therapists and other professionals providing support to students.

Set in its own private grounds, Aspris Woodview School will provide holistic support to children and young people aged 7 to 19 years with autism. You will have a unique opportunity to be part of establishing the school, to support our young people once the school opens.


The curriculum design will enable students to follow a broadly mainstream curriculum to accredited qualifications, preparing them for adulthood and the world of work. The school will aim to provide 10 places on opening in September 2024, rising to 96 places at full maturity.

We are looking for a practitioner with a passion and knowledge surrounding ASD and sensory processing disorders. The successful applicant will be HCPC registered and will hold BSc Occupational Therapy or profession specific equivalent qualification. Experience of working with young people with complex needs is essential. You will have an experience/awareness of Sensory Processing Disorders and the application of sensory integration theory in practice, assessment and clinical observations and you will be able to demonstrate a dynamic and creative approach to delivering treatment approaches. This role will have a strategic element, whereby you will assess, deliver and review therapeutic provision to our young people. The applicant will be proactive in disseminating best ways of working to the wider support team and will be confident to deliver onsite profession specific training to colleagues as and when required.


The applicant will work in close partnership with a diverse team of Therapy and educational specialists to deliver tailored support that meets the needs of each young person. The applicant will join a supportive and experienced team of dedicated support staff, committed to delivering the very best care. The successful applicant will receive a bespoke internal induction programme and the ability to network with Therapists across other Aspris sites.
