Advance your career with an organisation that operates on a global scale. A career where you will manage a range of skills requirements and technical apprenticeship programmes, with a team that’s involved in some of the most specialist technical work you’re ever likely to see, all to protect the UK’s interests at home and overseas. If you’re looking for your job, bigger, this should be your next move.

As part of HM Government we work on a huge range of projects, and help protect the UK’s interests around the world. We design and construct secure government buildings; We deliver diplomatic packages across continents; We manage complex and sensitive projects on behalf of His Majesty’s Government; And a whole lot more besides. You will play a vital role in the success of our Engineering and Operations directorate that protects people, information and assets worldwide.

Help manage the essential skills and apprenticeship requirements we need

As a member of the Security Systems team which sits within Engineering and Operations, you will ensure that everyone in the team has appropriate equipment, security briefings and access to our offices. Apprenticeships are a key aspect to the training of our technical teams and growth of our capacity and capability, so you will work with subject matter experts to identify skills gaps within the team, and coordinate training, with a particular focus on the day-to-day management of our apprenticeship scheme. You will arrange appropriate exposure to live working environments for our technical apprentices, providing support when issues and problems arise, and making an active contribution to the smooth running of our training programs. You will have scope to develop and grow the current apprenticeship scheme and ensure it is fit for the future.

Use your management and people skills to support critical government work

To be a success in this role you will have experience of developing and working with apprentices, and possess superb stakeholder management skills. Capable of analysing, interrogating and evaluating data, you will also be an excellent capacity planner with experience of line or matrix management.

Grow your career in the biggest way possible

When you join us, you’ll be helping to protecting the nation’s interests at home and overseas. In return we offer a competitive salary, 25-30 days’ annual leave per year (depending on length of service) and a Civil Service pension. Depending on business need, we can accommodate some hybrid working between the office and home. While on-site, you’ll have access to an on-site gym, nursery, canteen, and we offer interest-free loans on season tickets and bikes to help you get there.

Because of the sensitive work we do, every single colleague must be

security cleared before joining us. If you’re successful in your application,

we’ll ask you to undergo our vetting process to achieve Developed Vetting (DV)

clearance. You can find out more about vetting on our website:
