About the role  

As the Assessment Specialist & Marking Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in managing and improving the operational tasks associated with Cambridge International's examination series. This position offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team, innovate process enhancements, and ensure the highest standards of assessment delivery that impact millions of learners around the world.  

Your key responsibilities will also include:  

  • Making operational decisions within policy guidelines and escalating issues as needed.  
  • Developing and monitoring key performance indicators to drive team performance improvements.  
  • Continuously analysing and improving team processes to enhance outcomes and eliminate inefficiencies.  
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards through procedural documentation and risk management.  
  • Providing reports to line management and senior operations, presenting data and insights.  


About you  

You are a trustworthy, personable, and pragmatic leader with a proven track record of successfully managing teams and delivering high-quality results in dynamic environments with competing priorities. Your ability to navigate complex processes, lead with creativity, and build strong collaborative relationships with colleagues, third-party suppliers, and customers makes you an ideal candidate for this role.  

Other key requirements include:  

  • Strong focus on process improvement and innovation, with the ability to learn and analyse intricate processes.  
  • Skilled in presenting complex data analysis to the senior management in a clear and impactful manner.  
  • Confident decision-making, prioritisation, and time management skills.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)  
  • Experience of our in-house exam system, EPS, and a working knowledge of SAP systems would be an advantage, though full training will be given.
