Job Overview
Dubai British School Emirates Hills is recruiting an outstanding STEAM Teacher, commencing August 2025, to join their BSO, and KHDA rated 'Outstanding' international school. This post is an exciting and unique opportunity for candidates from a range of backgrounds, looking to explore and expand their professional capacity. Students from Year 3 to Year 9 at DBSEH enjoy specialist STEAM lessons during which they undertake project-based learning to investigate applications of technology, innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurship and the visual arts. As we expand our school, DBSEH seek an innovative and creative teacher with the skills and mindset to bring cross – curricular projects to life!
Ideal candidates may be working in a similar role currently, however if you are innovative, a fast learner, and have a passion for igniting curiosity, your application is welcome. The successful candidate may have a background or interest in science or technology, but the areas of focus as well as the age range to be taught are negotiable for the right candidate. This role demands a high level of pedagogical creativity and the willingness and ability to plan learner centred, project-based activities which allow learners to explore and apply their knowledge.

Returning staff then join us for an induction into the school year.
Our vibrant in-school social committee ensures that there are plenty of opportunities to build firm friendships across academic teams while exploring common interests, such as dog walking, attending shows, playing sports, or even meeting up for a Sunday lunch! These opportunities are shared monthly and are targeted at all staff, new and returning.
Our bespoke DBSEH standards offer a framework for professional support and challenge. Promoting staff agency, you are put in the driving seat of your professional learning and through coaching conversations with a leader you decide the pathway you want to take to professional excellence, whether this be through self-directed learning such as an action research project or through more formal accredited routes such as the NPQ suite of qualifications, subsidised by the school.
Shortlisted candidates based in UK may be invited for in-person interviews in London on the 18th and 19th of January 2025. Candidates currently based in the UAE will be invited to attend the interview at the school.
