Half a day per week to be agreed, between the hours of 8.30am – 5.00pm – times will vary slightly depending on the timetable, term time only (approximately 32 weeks per year)
Elstree school is looking to appoint an experienced, qualified and practising counsellor to offer pupils and staff individual counselling and support.
Our Counsellor will work within the school’s Safeguarding and Prevent policy, Government guidelines and the codes of practice and ethics recommended by the BACP, UKCP or equivalent organisation, to will provide a high quality, bespoke counselling service to the pupils and staff of Elstree School. Individual sessions are offered to pupils of approximately 45 minutes duration as appropriate and appointments will be arranged by the school. Parents pay directly for the session.
You will have experience of working with children and young people and understand the developmental, emotional and educational issues affecting them and possess the patience, tolerance and sensitivity to offer pupils and staff counselling and support.
Set in 150 acres of stunning parkland in rural West Berkshire, Elstree welcomes boys and girls aged 3-13 years. Originally founded in 1848, it moved to its current location in 1939 and opened its Pre-Prep school in 1993. It offers boarding, both flexi and weekly, from Year 4 onwards.
