Dubai British School Jumeirah Park is seeking a Pastoral Support Assistant to join our thriving school, set in the heart of the Jumeirah Park community.

This is a Learning Assistant (LA) position on a local contract, with a salary range between AED 5,000 and AED 7,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:  

  •  A Level 3 Counselling qualification or Bachelors Degree in Psychology
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults
  • Child Protection Level 2-3 trained (preferable)
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults
  • Willing to attend courses (Mental Health First Aid, counselling / therapy courses)
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, understand classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Our Curriculum 

DBSJP follows the National Curriculum for England, from EYFS through to GCSE, BTEC and A Level examination courses. The curriculum is significantly enhanced by the local context and culture. The opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive, competitive, and varied extra-curricular activities programme.
