Arts & Media School Islington is a popular and thriving comprehensive school situated in North London; a vacancy has arisen for a teacher of boys’ Physical Education within our community. The post holder will be able to teach Physical Education to KS3 and KS4 at GCSE and BTEC. 

We are a good school with a strong ethos of caring and learning. Our specialism is creativity across the curriculum and we have been awarded the Artsmark Platinum status in recognition of this.

About Arts & Media School Islington

Arts & Media School Islington is a co-educational, comprehensive trust foundation school in north Islington, London.

The Victorian school building was originally home to Montem Street School, later becoming known as Tollington Park Secondary School and, more recently, as George Orwell School.

In 2014, Arts & Media School Islington was selected to be one of 12 schools in London to participate in the Music in Secondary Schools Trust  (MISST) programme, which aims to develop team-working skills, improve discipline and enrich the learning of students through the creativity of music.

Key stage 3 students at Arts & Media School Islington receive an orchestral string instrument alongside compulsory musical education for three years, all free of charge.

Arts & Media School Islington’s vision of “every child a scholar” is built upon a strong academic GCSE core, enriched by the arts.
