We are seeking to recruit an experienced visiting music teacher to teach guitar (acoustic and electric), bass and ukulele to develop, plan and deliver high quality and engaging learning experiences to our young musicians. We have unprecedented demand for guitar tuition on our peripatetic programme and as such need to expand the provision.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading pupils to achieve outstanding results, in terms of both general progress, solo and ensemble performance, GCSE/A Level recitals and, where appropriate, in Rock School/Trinity/ABRSM examinations.

The music department boasts a suite of 5 practice rooms (including recording studio), 2 dedicated music classrooms (with industry-level music technology setups) plus additional rehearsal spaces for ensembles.

Guiseley School is full of exceptional young people. All students in KS3 receive one dedicated period to music each week and over 10% of the school access additional music lessons annually. We have a strong record of musical successes with regular performances, touring opportunities and great outcomes in internal and external examinations. We have an active, visible leadership team, and a committed staff body. Guiseley School is an 11-18 fully inclusive school situated in a small town in the City of Leeds in West Yorkshire. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is now a suburb of northwest Leeds and close to the stunning Dales. The school is part of a Co-operative Trust established in 2014.
