Peripatetic Singing Teacher

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Singing Teacher to join our thriving and successful Music Department from September 2024. We are looking for a teacher who is conscientious and structures their lessons well, delivering both technique and skill development, as well as introducing a variety of new repertoire to encourage the child to discover their favourite styles and develop a love of music. This post would suit an enthusiastic, well qualified and talented teacher, with excellent accompaniment skills and experience in teaching pop, musical theatre and classical repertoire. This role will be offered on a self-employed basis.

The main responsibilities of the post are to:

• Provide individual lessons to students ranging from beginners to advanced levels
• Develop and implement engaging lessons that cater to various learning styles
• Prepare students for performances and examinations
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Report to parents regularly and formally once a year
