About the Role

9 Months Maternity Cover Contract

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Personal Social Health Education (PSHE) Lead to join our team. The PSHE Lead role is pivotal in enhancing the quality and delivery of Personal, Social, Health, and Economic (PSHE) education across our college. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Student Engagement to achieve strategic objectives and foster an engaging, supportive learning environment. 

We are able to offer you hybrid working in this role.

What You Will Do

  • Work with the Head of Student Engagement to achieve strategic goals.
  • Lead and support staff to deliver student-led tutorial models, ensuring quality and alignment with the Education Information Framework.
  • Develop a strategic roadmap for tutorial delivery, oversee CPD sessions, and foster cross-department collaboration.
  • Curate and maintain PSHE online resources, monitor usage, and coordinate communications to support staff deliver in curriculum.
  • Lead cross-college communication, develop contextualised learning schemes, and coordinate training for Pastoral staff.
  • Design innovative PSHE resources for staff to deliver, incorporate student feedback, and develop an induction programme for OFSTED-readiness.

About You

  • Relevant degree level qualification and a professional qualification/ portfolio demonstrating experience of tutorial delivery.
  • Knowledge of and competence of tutorials in an educational context
  • Experience of Digital platforms including Microsoft and Google applications
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects in parallel and to deliver projects within tight deadlines and experience of using matrix management methodologies
  • Ability to communicate with staff and student verbally and using social media, digital and written communications
