Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint Practical Instructor for Agriculture and Environmental Conservation.

Our Practical Instructors are responsible for supporting teaching staff by providing practical demonstration and technical instruction to students. Practical Instructors supervise small groups of students to develop their practical skills through demonstrating the appropriate skills, methods and techniques. This might include demonstrating the use of machinery, harvesting crops and feeding livestock. They will ensure that students can demonstrate the skills and behaviours required for the successful completion of their qualification and possess the knowledge that underpins the practical instruction. They will also ensure that the health and safety of the students is maintained whilst undertaking practical sessions.

The ideal candidate will hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Agriculture or a related area, and will have practical experience working in the agricultural industry. While experience working in education is not essential, applicants should be comfortable providing training and instruction to others.
