Runnymede College is a private non-denominational British school in Madrid offering a British education to boys and girls of all nationalities from the age of two to eighteen. The education offered follows the British National Curriculum.
Founded as a private school in September 1967, the primary school was inaugurated in 1987, and since 1990, the whole School has been located in La Moraleja, in the north of Madrid. The School has been restructured and from September 2024 it will be divided into Pre-Prep (Pre Nursery to Year 3), Prep (Years 4 to 8) and Senior School (Years 9 to 13).
We are an excellent and well established school based in Madrid looking to recruit an outstanding Nursery teaching assistant to join our Pre Prep School for a maternity cover role from 24th February 2025.
Successful applicants must be native level English speakers and should have:
- Degree or NNEB certificate, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Learning & Development or Cache Level 3 Diploma in Childcare & Education or equivalent
- a commitment to Safeguarding
- knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
- knowledge of of teaching Phonics and Early Reading
- knowledge of early Mathematics with a mastery approach
- be committed to providing stimulating and well-structured learning across all areas of the curriculum
- a passion for education
- the ability to work with individual children, groups or supporting the teacher within the classroom
- relevant UK classroom experience
- previous experience in an international school - desired not essential
- excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively and seamlessly individually and as part of a team
- to be confident in using technology effectively in teaching and learning

Runnymede College is a private school that provides a British education for English-speaking students of all nationalities who are resident in Madrid.
The aims of the School are:
