Job overview
This job is only suitable for candidates already residing in Japan.
Are you looking to join a friendly school where you can work to ensure every pupil is inspired, happy and challenged, alongside colleagues and parents who go above and beyond for the children in their care? Then, we are looking to hear from you.
Clarence International School is a successful British Pre-Prep based in Omotesando, Tokyo. First opened in 2016 with the unique vision to offer discerning families access to a culturally rich international education. Working closely with the prestigious British royal founding charity — Children & The Arts (CATA) in the United Kingdom, founded by HRH the Prince of Wales in 2006 — Clarence International School wanted to play its part in exposing children to the arts in Japan.
The Clarence Community has grown significantly over the years, and as a result teachers are working with some of the most high-achieving and engaged pupils in the region. This creates an exciting working and learning environment, with wide open doors of opportunity for both pupils and teachers.
From the very beginning, our mission as a school has been to nurture imagination through an ambitious and well-designed curriculum. Our curriculum, which follows guidance from the Early Years Statutory Framework, but in an international context, exposes children to a rich variety of art forms including music, theatre, poetry, dance and storytelling. Nonetheless, there is equal importance stressed on early reading, literacy and mathematics.
If you feel excited by the opportunity to work in one of Tokyo's leading Pre-Prep schools, then we look forward to hearing from you soon.
