The Sultan’s School is looking to appoint an experienced Primary KS1 year 1-3 Teacher for January 2022

Our KS1 department is well resourced with experienced Teaching Assistants for each class. 

Set in it's own dedicated building with specialist teaching spaces for Art, ICT and Music it is a warm and welcoming environment for our students, parents and staff alike. You will find our students responsive, well- motivated and eager with maximum class sizes of 24.

Please note that to qualify for a position at The Sultan’s School you must hold a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. B.Ed., PGCE, QTS or GTP or national equivalent) in addition to any other professional qualifications relating to Learning Support.

The Sultan’s School was established in 1977 under the sponsorship of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and offers a bilingual international programme from KG through to Year 13. In Primary (KG to Year 6) and Middle School (Years 7 to 9) we offer a modified English National Curriculum and in Years 10 and 11 we offer the Cambridge IGCSE. In Years 12 and 13 our students follow the IBDP.

Over the last four years, our IB results have been outstanding with an average pass rate of 97%. The vast majority of our graduates go to university outside of Oman, many on government scholarships.

The Sultan’s School has one of the largest school campuses in the world and is blessed with outstanding facilities. Over the last five years, the school has invested heavily in a campus modernisation and expansion programme that includes additional housing for staff, a new boarding house, a 400m tartan running track, an additional cafeteria and the expansion of a number of classrooms. Our next project will be the construction of a 7000 sqm STEAM centre.

Oman is a stunningly beautiful and peaceful country and our internationally recruited staff stay an average of 7 years.
