Primary Learning Support Teaching Assistant

Primary Learning Support Teaching Assistant responsibilities:

• Work with lead teacher to monitor the class schedule
• Assist lead teacher in lesson planning 
• Assist lead teacher by preparing lesson materials and the setting up of equipment
• Provide push-in or pull-out support for students individually or in small groups to revise lesson materials
• Perform supervision duties as assigned
• Collaborate with lead teachers in creating student learning plans and / or Individual Educational Plans (IEPs)    
• Document student progress and communicate with learning support team on a regular basis
• Attend and contribute to regular departmental and school meetings and training courses

The specialist Teaching Assistant must:

• Hold a Bachelor Degree (preferably in Education or a relevant area)
• SEN teaching certification preferred
• Have at least 2 years of relevant working experience within a recognized educational organization
• Strong English written and verbal skill
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to support classroom team
• Ability to work closely collaborate with lead teacher
• SEN and / or Teacher qualifications an advantage
