Primary School Support Assistant

In this role you will:

• Communicate effectively with clients/service users
• Respond to clients / service users in a respectful and caring manner
• Contribute to the care and wellbeing of clients / service users
• Sensitive to the individual needs of service users
• Ability to contribute to the work of the team through active participation
• Ability to work in partnership with team, parents, families to ensure the individual needs of service users are met
• Develop good working relationships with colleagues and others to ensure shared goals are achieved
• Demonstrate a commitment to delivering quality service
• Alert managers of any changes or situations regarding clients / service users and seek guidance from manager when unsure of outcomes expected
• Experience of dealing with problems in a timely manner
• Apply existing guidelines to resolve routine problems
• Take responsibility for yourself, customers/service users, contractors and others and ensure compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation.
• Promote and act as role model for the Council’s values and commitment to equality and diversity.
• Promote positive values and anti-discriminatory, non-judgmental practice and treat colleagues and customers with dignity and respect in line with the Employee Code of Conduct and SSSC Codes of Conduct.
