About British International School of Wroclaw

The British International School of Wrocław, BISC Wroclaw, is a mixed, mainstream, all-through, international, independent school in Poland. It accommodates approximately 150 students.

BISC Wroclaw was founded in September 2006. It operates another school in Krakow, Poland since 1995. It’s a member of the European Council of International Schools and is fully accredited to offer Cambridge International and the Assessments & Qualifications Alliance exams.

Visions and value

The school aims to help students become better – to become lifelong learners, with their interactions with others and to teach them to be global citizens. It strives to provide a broad and stimulating curriculum and environment for its students and to instil a sense of racial and cultural harmony throughout the school. The main values the school promotes are independence without selfishness, inner strength with compassion and a tolerant, open-minded attitude.

The curriculum is based on the British National Curriculum.  In Key Stage One, a holistic educational programme is used to teach the pupils.  After that the core subjects of literacy, maths and science are emphasised alongside music, art, P.E. and computing. Extra-curriculars include music and art. English is taught as an additional language and is registered with CIE and AQA, two English examination boards.

The school prides itself on hiring professional, high quality, English-speaking teachers who are just as enthusiastic about teaching as they are about learning and growing in their roles.
