Due to the creation of our new Multi-Academy Trust, our current Principal will be taking up the role of Executive Principal of Mounts Bay Academy and the Leading Edge Academies Partnership, a rare opportunity has arisen to recruit a talented and inspirational leader with a proven track record of raising standards and who is passionate about leading a learning community that enables both staff and students to fulfil their potential.

The ideal candidate will be able to offer dynamic and motivational leadership for the Academy and its staff, be committed to the Academy’s delivery of first class educational outcomes for all students and continue to develop our ethos and values.

The successful candidate will be expected to evidence their ability to:

Provide vision and dynamic and professional leadership for Mounts Bay Academy to ensure high quality, inclusive and comprehensive education for all its students.

You will need to ensure that adventurous learning is at the centre of strategic planning and resource management and maintain our effective partnerships with parents and carers to support and improve all students’ personal development and academic achievement.

You will need to engage with all of the Headteachers in the new MAT to create a culture of sharing good practice across it and build upon the Academy’s leading role within it through the use of traditional pedagogies and new technologies.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Headteacher or emerging senior leader to build on the school’s strong and successful reputation and to take-on new challenges and opportunities.
