Our roles are not without challenge and as Principal, your role as a senior leader will be instrumental to the successful implementation of the school improvement agenda and working strategically to develop the community, commercial and educational performance of the academy.

Vacancy details:

As a senior leader you will lead the continued planning, development and implementation of the school improvement agenda and work strategically to develop the community, commercial and educational performance of the academy. You will have a strong interest in pedagogy and people development, recognising the value of positive staff engagement in strengthening the quality and continuity of education.

To ensure the academy promotes the pupil and parental experience, you will advocate a collaborative approach earning trust and confidence of families and community partnerships, building positive community relationships and encourage your teams to actively demonstrate the same. In line with your own passion for the role.

Skills & Experience

As a leader in education, you will have experience of working within a range of educational settings and either completed your NPQH or be open to qualifying as part of your role.

You will have a strong professional focus upon primary education and be able to evidence where you have achieved school improvement through well managed and sustainable change to school operating practices and curriculum development whilst strategically managing the relationships and wellbeing of staff to create a thriving working environment.

You will be required to undertake employment checks including an enhanced DBS with children's barred list check and Section 128 prior to commencing this role.

About Diamond Academy

Diamond is a two-form entry academy in Thetford which caters for around 200 children from Year 3 to Year 6. Our pupils love learning, make great progress and develop as young people fully prepared for the next stage of their education and beyond.

We meet our pupils’ learning and pastoral needs through tailored support and challenge across a wide range of subjects and other planned experiences, all delivered by our fantastic staff team.

We have a spacious building with specialist teaching areas and wonderful grounds, complete with an excellent Forest Schools area and plans to make our learning environment an even better place in which to learn and grow.
