This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, inspirational and highly motivated professional to lead one of our Year groups at one of the highest performing schools in Tamworth and North Warwickshire. The role is suitable for an experienced colleague or a professional in the early stages of their career; professional development and support specific to the role can be provided. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a group of approximately 140 students and 6 tutors.
The successful applicant will:
• Be an excellent and innovative practitioner, committed to teaching, with a passion for learning and teaching, preferably in one of the core subjects of English, Mathematics or Science.
• Be an energetic Progress Leader who is able to inspire and motivate students to achieve their very best.

• Be a dedicated professional with ideas to further enhance our pastoral provision, including alternative provision and behaviour intervention.

• Support the Assistant Headteacher (Behaviour and Welfare) in delivering ongoing excellent provision in this key area and play a key role in the strategic development of pastoral provision.
• Contribute to the development of a strong and effective pastoral structure that demonstrates best practice in enhancing progress and developing excellence in student attitudes, behaviour and safeguarding provision.
• Work with other Leaders to ensure that aspirational progress targets are achieved across the school.

Scholarships
We are currently introducing Scholarships for aspiring lead learning practitioners. Up to £2000 scholarship bursary will be available over two years. The Scholarship is to enable the preparation of inspirational resources, lead on aspects of intervention, sharing of good practice and development of a ‘leadership of learning’ challenge. There will also be a £1000 ‘golden ticket’ for training and development with the Castle Phoenix Teaching School Alliance and Leadership Academy
