Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an office based, Purchase Ledger Clerk/Finance Assistant to join our team. The core purpose of the role is to support the Finance Manager and Business Manager in providing an effective and efficient financial service to the school.

Your responsibilities would include but not limited to; purchase ledger, petty cash, assisting in Year-end, Monthly analysis of Cost Accounts, reconciliation of Control Accounts and many other day to day tasks. Please see attached document for a more details job description.

The successful candidate will be organised, reliable and have experience of working as part of a team. It is desirable to have experience of PS Financials and 3 years Purchase Ledger experience. School experience is not essential but would be advantageous. We are looking for someone who is:

·        Familiar with routine financial transactions

·        Experience of PS Financials (desirable)

·        Three years of Purchase Ledger experience (desirable)

·        Competent in Microsoft packages, particularly Excel

·        Accurate and efficient

·        Ability to work flexibly and prioritise

·        An enthusiastic team player

·        Ability to relate well to both adults and students

·        An openness to new ideas

·        An excellent health record

The hours for this role are ideally full time, 9.00am – 5.00pm, including school holidays with 25 days annual leave.

For the right candidate, we would consider term time plus two weeks (last two weeks of the summer holidays).

Flexible working will be considered during the school holidays.
