The Roseland Multi-Academy Trust consists of three secondary schools, two primary schools and a Teaching School Hub. This role is based at Falmouth School and involves the delivery of cover lessons to a number of classes in a communal space, ie library, lecture theatre. The post holder will be crucial in maintaining the continuity of education during the absence of regular member(s) of teaching staff. You will ensure that students are settled and working in a calm and purposeful learning environment in line with the Trust’s vision and will coordinate and quality assure the delivery of cover. The successful candidate must be able to resolve day-to-day problems independently and demonstrate and develop professional practice excellence to meet the changing demands of the role.
The successful candidate must be totally reliable, demonstrate excellent time keeping and organisational skills, be adept at managing competing priorities and work well under pressure. This role requires the ability to maintain confidentiality. You must be approachable and sensitive to the needs of all students, as well as being a team player who takes an interest in the range of work undertaken by the Trust.
This role may be particularly suited to someone who is interested in a career in education or future teacher training. The Roseland Academy, part of The Roseland Multi Academy Trust, is a national Teaching School Hub and the role would offer a wide range of professional development opportunities and training.
This is a term time only position, the successful post-holder will benefit from the school holidays although there will be a requirement to work an additional 5 days during the school year.
