Reception Class Teacher to commence 1st September 2017 and is on a permanent basis.
Heckmondwike Primary School is a Group 3 multicultural school situated on the edge of Heckmondwike (population 17,943 - 2001 Census Figures), an old industrial town in the heart of the West Riding of Yorkshire. The school was created in 1995 by the amalgamation of Heckmondwike Junior School and Battye Street Infant and Nursery School and serves a culturally diverse population, which is reflected within the school’s own community.
The school is part of the Spenborough Co-operative Trust which formed in 2012. This is a group of seven geographically close but contextually varied schools working together based on the Co-operative principles of Self-help, Self-responsibility, Democracy, Equality, Equity and Solidarity.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff are subject to an enhanced DBS check. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
