About the role:
We are currently seeking an Academic Administration Officer – Reception to join the School Academic Administration Team. The Academic Administration Team provides a range of functions to support the Principal, the Leadership Team, teachers, and the students. As part of the team, you will actively contribute to meet the team goals and responsibilities in an efficient and professional manner.
Key responsibilities:
- As the first point of contact with the school, ensure delivery of an efficient, professional, and welcoming front desk service for students, parents/guardians, and visitors.
- Perform a wide range of administrative duties providing support and assistance to school staff as required, ensuring confidentiality of school documentation.
- Monitor student attendance records, contact parents to verify student absences and produce reports for the Leadership Team as required.
- Act as a designated First Aid Officer and provide timely first aid assistance for students and staff and report incidents as required.
- Maintain accurate first aid records including confidentiality, accuracy, and currency of Medical Emergency Plans and correlating medication for students in the school administration system.
- Operate a range of office equipment, as applicable, including highly proficient use of the telephone system, computers, photocopier, printer, binding, scanner etc. and assist staff with copying, scanning and binding.
- Classroom auditing to ensure equipment is complete and functional.
- Maintain accurate catalogue library resources and identify on a regular basis, overdue library items and follow up with staff members and students the return of the items.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the Principal.
