Job overview

Full time, year round

Clifton High School is an academically selective, co-educational, independent day school for approximately 780 pupils aged 3-18 years. Situated on a beautiful Bristol site, our educational offering is underpinned by a strong pastoral and family ethos. We value individuality and positively celebrate diversity and inclusion in every area of the school.

The key purpose of this role is to work closely with the Head of School and other senior leaders and heads of department in the management and coordination of staff recruitment for Clifton High School (from advertisement through to appointment), to manage onboarding and other pre-employment tasks, and to uphold all ‘Safer Recruitment’ processes.

We currently appoint around 50 people a year, to either permanent, fixed term or casual hours positions, and to a wide range of roles. These include teachers, teaching assistants, Early Years Practitioners, technicians, IT and estate management, catering roles, and office-based staff in a variety of business support functions. The new post-holder will also support the Head of HR and develop their own HR experience in a range of on-going or one-off HR activities.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain a broad range of recruitment and HR experience. The new post-holder will be well supported by the Head of HR and the Deputy Head for Staffing and will have the opportunity to develop the role over time.

We are looking for someone who loves to roll their sleeves up and is keen to start or develop their recruitment or HR career in a fast-paced and varied workplace. Previous HR or recruitment experience is desirable, but not essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate interest and enthusiasm for the role, experience of working in a customer-focused environment, strong administrative and IT skills and excellent attention to detail.

For further details and to apply, please see our website.

Closing date for applications: Midnight Wednesday 16th October
