The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Regional SEND Coordinator to play a pivotal role in ensuring child-centered support for referred children and young people. As a key liaison between Dare2Dream and external professionals, including SEND teams, social care, and health services, you will coordinate services, monitor progress, and oversee transitions to ensure compliance with legal and organisational frameworks. This role champions Dare2Dream’s values by promoting our services and supporting our mission to enhance life opportunities through tailored social and emotional support. Leading a motivated team, you will deliver impactful interventions that make a real difference in young people’s lives.

What You'll Do

  • Act as a liaison between Dare2Dream and external professionals, including SEND teams, social care, and health services.
  • Represent the foundation in key meetings and ensure smooth communication with all stakeholders.
  • Line-manage Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners, Senior Lead Practitioner, and Lead Practitioners.
  • Supervise staff caseloads, oversee performance management, conduct appraisals, and ensure ongoing staff development.
  • Handle referrals from start to finish, ensuring timely and appropriate support for young people.
  • Track and report on outcomes, oversee compliance with legal frameworks, and monitor organisational policies and processes.
  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures, reporting concerns as required.
  • Stay informed of relevant legislation, such as the SEND Code of Practice and Department for Education policies.
  • Organise inductions and oversee training programs for staff.
  • Develop and improve interventions, processes, and partnerships to support young people.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with GDPR and quality assurance policies.
  • Manage organisational resources and provide regular reports to leadership and stakeholders.

What We're Looking for

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with expertise in SEND frameworks and EHCPs.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience managing and supporting teams, with the ability to develop and monitor staff.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and the ability to maintain accurate, confidential records.
  • A relevant qualification (minimum Level 3) and a full, clean driving license.
  • Passion for improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

Working arrangements:

This role is currently being offered as a hybrid role with opportunities for office, home and outreach working.
