Term Time Only

We have an exciting development opportunity available for a person looking to further their career in care. We are looking to recruit a Deputy Team Leader or Senior Health Care Support Worker for one of our onsite Residential Houses. Wessex House offers care and social provision for day and boarding, school and college students aged over 16 on a termly basis. You will be directly responsible to the Residential Manager for the welfare and organisation of an identified student group on the house. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to further his or her career in social care.

This is a varied role where you will support the residential management team to run the provision on house. The job holder at times will be the senior in charge of the shift, ensuring the needs of the students are met at all times, by guiding the staff team. You will be expected to support staff to encourage students to do as much as possible for themselves by guiding and helping them to identify the assistance they require to live as independently as possible.

The successful candidate will hold GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent) and hold or be willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent. You will also need relevant care experience and have good written and verbal communication skills.

At Treloar’s the aim is to create a home from home. Ensuring that the young person’s emotional needs are met is as important as their physical requirements and the Treloar’s team works closely together to ensure that the right support is always available.
