About the role 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed Safeguarding and Inclusion Officer to join the team at Carleton High School. The successful candidate will lead on implementing child protection and safeguarding policies, procedures and guidance for the school. They will take the lead role in monitoring the progress and attainment of vulnerable students, as well as working directly with children in need and their families to prevent children suffering significant harm. 


This post is a 37 hours per week, term time plus two days, permanent contract, equating to 192 working days per annum. 

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person who: 

  • has a passion for helping pupils thrive and meet their full potential. 
  • has a friendly manner and can communicate effectively with staff and students. 
  • can work effectively as part of a team but can also work independently using their own initiative. 
  • has experience of working in a similar specialist area.
