The College is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic individual to the full-time maternity cover post of Safeguarding Officer. You will be able to demonstrate how your qualities and skills show your commitment to make a difference to the lives of our students.

The safeguarding Team is highly experienced, friendly and has a wealth of professional knowledge. We are looking for a highly self-motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who will play a key role in the ongoing health and welfare of students and staff.
You will have experience of working with children and/or families within a safeguarding and child protection environment. A committed team worker, you will carry a caseload and work on your own initiative. Time management skills are essential given the variety of this challenging yet rewarding role. Previous experience of working with children and families and with other agencies and recent experience of social services work in child protection is essential.
The appointment will be made on the Sixth Form Colleges’ Employers’ Association Support Staff pay spine point 18 £32,259 full time equivalent.
Actual pay based on 0.8889FTE: Full time (37 hours per week), term time only + 10 days will be support pay spine point 18 £28,674 per annum.
Actual pay based on 0.5405FTE: Part time (22.5hours per week), term time only + 6 days will be support spine point 18 £17,437 per annum.
Actual pay based on 0.8800FTE: Part time (30 hours per week), term time only + 8 days will be support spine point 18 £23,017 per annum.
