About the Post
Stourfield Infant School and Stourfield Junior School are both large community schools in Southbourne, Dorset. We are a member of Twynham Learning - an exciting multi-academy trust of ambitious infant, junior and secondary schools serving the local community. Its aim is to offer this generation of children, young people and those involved in their education the very best leadership, teaching and learning, professional development, and support services.
Stourfield infant School caters for 360 children aged between 4 and 7 years. We are an inclusive school and welcome children from all walks of life and all faiths. We pride ourselves on focusing on the needs of each and every child. Our aim is to enable them not only to make exceptional progress, but also to learn how to get on well with one another and make friends in a supportive environment.
Stourfield Junior School caters for approximately 480 children. Classes are organised in year groups with four classes each. We firmly believe that pupil performance and well-being go hand in hand and that we have a moral imperative to ensure that all pupils in our care are given every opportunity to be the very best that they can be. Our large staff team are committed to this aim in everything that they do.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and pro-active School Business Assistant to join our schools and support the Business Manager in overseeing all areas of non-academic operations within both schools, supporting the Headteachers to deliver their statutory responsibilities and their Excellence Strategies. This role will be working across both schools
We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:
· Support financial and general administration across both schools
· Coordinate lettings across schools
· Maintain health and safety logs and administration across sites
· Support the HR processes including recruitment, payroll, and personnel issues for both sites
· Manage and update estate managements and risk registers for the two schools
· Maintain training records for all staff across both sites
· Support with the role of SCR administrator for both schools
· Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.

Who we are looking for
We would love to hear from you if you:
Essential:
· Have GCSEs in Maths and English, grade 4/grade C and above or equivalent qualifications.
· Have strong organisational, administrative, and financial skills with high levels of competence in using general IT platforms, financial systems, and management information systems.
· Are motivated with the ability to drive change to make processes more robust and / or efficient
· Have excellent interpersonal skills and gravitas to interact with colleagues across the Trust, with the parent groups and the wider community
· Have good attention to detail
· Are safer recruitment certified (or ability to achieve this upon appointment)
Desirable Knowledge of:
· Knowledge of Parent Pay and/or Arbor
· Relevant office related qualifications.
