School Business Manager

Eastbrook school is an increasingly popular and rapidly improving ‘all through’ school in Dagenham. In December 2021, Ofsted recognised this by awarding us a ‘Good’ judgement. As we embark on the next phase of our journey to ‘Outstanding’, we are looking for a hardworking, inspirational and visionary candidate to become our School Business Manager and join our exceptional leadership team at an exciting point in the school’s development.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and committed School Business Manager to join our team to provide strategic budget oversight of revenue and capital funding. They will be responsible for the efficient financial management of all aspects of the school (primary, secondary and sixth form), including policies, systems and processes, and hold responsibility for financial compliance and reporting.

This will include the development, implementation and maintenance of school financial procedures and systems, ensuring that all legal and governance requirements are met. The successful applicant will also lead and manage the strategic and day-to-day financial controls, administration, monitoring and reporting systems to underpin the services and activities of the school.

The successful applicant will have substantial experience of working in a similar role, have excellent organisational skills, and a high attention to detail. They will be forward-thinking with the passion and skills to build on the achievements of our school, acting as a driver for further improvement and efficiency. Someone who will have a great track record of evidence informed strategies which demonstrate strong impact and who is relentless in the pursuit of excellence.
