School Caretaker

Available on either a full-week or Job share basis (2/3 day weeks)

Term time plus, 1 week INSET plus 2 weeks in holidays, permanent.

18 hours per week – working pattern flexible

From £25,119 FTE (£11,000 actual/ pro rata - £13 ph)

To £25,979 FTE / (£11,377 actual/ pro rata - £13.46 ph)

 We are seeking a capable and professional School Caretaker to join our 3-19 special school.

You will work with the Headteacher/Trust Estate Manager.

The successful applicant must be able to self-manage, prioritise maintenance requirements, organise inspections and schedule maintenance of specialised equipment, while ensuring that statutory and H&S needs are met.

The applicant will be able to undertake small repair tasks, decorate classrooms, order materials and co-ordinate the use of third party contractors to enable the site to function efficiently and effectively.

A can do attitude, with the flexibility to undertake other duties and responsibilities of a maintenance nature, aligned with good, clear communication and a logical thought process would be an advantage in this environment. 

Experience working in a school environment (SEN) would be an advantage, but not essential.
