School Chaplain

Location:      St Thomas More Catholic School, Croftdale Road, Blaydon-On-Tyne, NE21 4BQ

Grade:         Grade F, SCP 14-19 (£27,337 - £29,777 per annum, pro rata)

Hours:         Permanent, 37 hours per week, Term time only + 2 weeks (40 weeks)

Start Date:   Required from Easter 2024, or sooner if possible

Group Size:  6 (1,453 pupils on roll)

Applications are invited from practising and committed Catholics for the post of School Chaplain at St Thomas More Catholic School.

We are wishing to recruit a School Chaplain who can ensure through their own experiences and beliefs, that the school is distinctively Catholic in all its aspects.

Our school aims to provide a stimulating and encouraging environment within which students can attain the highest standards of which they are capable, and to assist them in taking their place in the world outside school in a useful and fulfilling career, with a firm sense of Christian commitment. We are strongly committed to the education of the whole child and being ‘the principal means of helping parents to fulfil their role in education’ [Canon Law: 796].
