Role Overview: As a School Counsellor Intern, your primary focus will be working with students on social and emotional issues. You will also provide support to students with learning challenges. This role is ideal for a newly qualified counsellor eager to learn and grow in a boarding school environment. You will receive guidance and training from our experienced Swiss School Psychologist, who will coach you as you gain exceptional practical experience in this year-long placement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counselling to students on social and emotional issues.
  • Support students with learning challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to foster a supportive school environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Recently qualified as a school counsellor.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German and/or other languages is an advantage.
  • Keen to learn and work in a boarding school setting.
  • Swiss, EU, or EFTA citizenship required (candidates who require a work permit cannot be considered).

The Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz, founded in 1904, is a Swiss international boarding school set in spectacular alpine landscape near St. Moritz.
