About the Role and You
Contract type: Full-time, permanent.
Working pattern: 5 Days per week on rotation basis.
Salary: up to £22k per annum
Start date: Immediate Start Available
About the Position
Due to the nature of the role, it requires 3 to 4 over night shifts at School. Working hours are on a rotation basis.
- Oversee daily operations and administration of the boarding area, ensuring proper record maintenance.
- Plan and manage the Matrons’ duty rota for adequate staff coverage per regulations.
- Ensure the boarding area is clean, tidy, and well-maintained, including furnishings and bedding.
- Monitor and report Health and Safety and maintenance needs to the Bursar.
- Represent the boarding area at Health and Safety and Food Committee Meetings.
- Develop and maintain written duty routines for boarding staff.
- Welcome new boarders and their families, guiding them through routines and procedures.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding pastoral and medical matters, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.

- Proficient in computer skills and confident in their use.
- Willingness to take on additional duties as assigned by the Head.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in all work.
- Proactive team player who remains calm under pressure in a busy office.
- Professional demeanour, handling confidential information with discretion.
