We have a vacancy for a NMC registered Nurse to join our school team in February 2025 (or possibly before subject to need and candidiate availability). The successful applicant will join our existing team healthcare providers working under the guidance and support of a Lead Nurse, alongside a dedicated school counsellor and 2 well-being practitioners. The team provide clinically effective, high quality nursing care within NMC guidelines. To ensure 24/7 cover in the Health Centre during term time weeks, the nursing team members offer flexibility where possible to share a variety of shifts during the working week. The School Nurse will have a naturally caring and empathetic manner, with the ability to relate well to pupils, parents and outside agencies; they will be able to demonstrate high levels of confidentiality and will have a professional outlook. All members of the Health Centre staff strive for the highest professional standards.
Nursing Staff support the Lead Nurse, and the wider pastoral team, in promoting a welcoming environment to pupils and parents, ensuring that there is good communication between the boarding Houses and the Health Centre in order to advise, or support with, any health or wellbeing concerns they may have. Updates and concerns are recording on a school IT system and nursing staff need to have a basic level of confidence using such systems.
The successful candidate should be a confident IT user with experience of MS Office and ideally come data systems knowledge (the school uses iSAMS and CPOMS), although training can be provided.

The full time equivalent salary for the role is £42,828, pro-rated to £33,438 for contracted weeks and hours (inclusive of holiday pay).
