Job Title: School Receptionist
We are seeking an experienced receptionist and excellent communicator to join our dynamic team, to provide exceptional service and administrative support and be the first point of contact for visitors to the school.
Location: Nottingham
Salary: Actual Salary £22,067 to £22,771 per annum (Grade C NJC 4-6)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full time 37 hours per week, 41 weeks per year (term time plus training days with additional 2 weeks during the school holidays)

About the Administration Department:
The Administration Department at our school plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations. The strong team of five work together to provide comprehensive administrative services and support across the school. By delivering these services effectively and efficiently, the department ensures that the school’s operations are maintained seamlessly, contributing to a well-organised and productive environment for both staff and students.
About You:
As a School receptionist at the Ellis Guilford School, you will bring your excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude to support the smooth running of our school operations, ensuring an efficient and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Our ideal candidate would:
- Have excellent communication skills, including written, oral, and presentation abilities.
- Be able to remain calm and resilient when dealing with both children and adults
- Have the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Be self-motivated, a creative thinker, organised and committed.
Requirements:

- Be educated to GCSE A-C (or have equivalent knowledge and experience).
- Have proven experience as a receptionist in a busy fast paced environment or in another relevant role.
- Experience of working in a school environment and or a customer service-based environment.
