Millfield Preparatory School is seeking a School Shop Sales Assistant to work at our campus in Glastonbury. As a vital team member, you will handle sales to pupils, parents, staff, and school departments.

Your diverse activities will include presenting merchandise in an appealing manner, ensuring accurate pricing, and providing assistance with lost property. The role will actively involve you in tasks such as stock checks, facilitating pupil uniform kit outs, and engaging in negotiations with suppliers regarding product ranges and pricing.

We are seeking an individual with a flexible, proactive, and professional approach. While prior experience in a retail environment is desirable, we value a friendly demeanour and exceptional customer service skills. The ideal candidate should be a flexible team player capable of working independently.

The hours of work are 7.45am to 1.15pm Monday and Friday and 7.45am to 12.15pm for ten Saturdays during term time. You will also be expected to work an average of 136 hours during non-term time; 118.5 of these hours will be included in your salary of £6,837.82 per annum (inclusive of holiday pay), with the remaining submitted on a timesheet at the rate of £11.44 per hour.
