Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate generalist who can effectively teach Key Stage 3 (KS3) Science and prepare our students for their Cambridge CheckPoint exams in Year 9. The ideal candidate will also have proven experience in teaching Cambridge GCSE and A-Level Biology, ensuring students receive a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging KS3 Science lessons that align with the curriculum and prepare students for their Cambridge CheckPoint exams.
  • Create and implement assessment strategies to monitor and evaluate student progress.
  • Facilitate a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.
  • Provide additional support and resources for students preparing for GCSE and A-Level Biology.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and share best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and development.


 

Qualifications and Experience

  • A relevant degree in Science or Education.
  • PGCE/PGDE
  • Proven experience teaching Cambridge GCSE and A-Level Biology.
  • Strong understanding of the KS3 science curriculum and Cambridge CheckPoint exams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
