We are seeking to appoint a Science & General Technician. The work will involve preparing materials and experiments, maintaining a safe & clean working environment, ordering materials, preparing displays and assisting the classroom teacher during practical lessons.
The successful candidate will have good practical skills and ideally some experience in the use of science equipment. There would be a requirement for the successful candidate to undertake chemical handling training.
You will be required to work with key personnel in school and other external agencies. Applicants will need to be adaptable, creative and flexible and have the ability to work with minimum supervision and should have excellent organisational skills. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential.
We take a collaborative view of learning where good practice is shared through a structured INSET programme within school and across the Trust.
The Royal Liberty School is a small comprehensive, 11-16, located close to Gidea Park Station. We pride ourselves on our strong sense of community and the excellent behaviour of the students.
