The International Secondary Department (ISE) is looking for a Science / Biology teacher to join our established, vibrant and expanding school for the school year 2022-2023. We are seeking experienced, and enthusiastic secondary teachers who are open for a new opportunity to join a dynamic and creative team.

The job

You will provide an inspiring teaching and learning environment where students can grow, flourish and experience success. You will collaborate with colleagues and teams to support each student to develop their competencies in order to reach their full potential.

  • Salary grading takes place in scale LB (min. €3.001,- max €4.573,-);

This is what we ask of you

Requirements for teaching positions at the ISE are, a relevant university degree, a (DUO) recognized teaching qualification, eligible to work in the EU, a good command of spoken and written English, previous experience or enthusiasm for the International Baccalaureate programmes and international education.

  • Provide students with relevant learning experiences;
  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined;
  • An understanding and knowledge of different cultural backgrounds;
  • Well organised and efficient;
  • High standard of professionalism;
  • Willingness to work collaboratively within a team;
  • Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
  • Be committed to international-mindedness and the ISE Guiding Statements;
  • Commitment to teaching the curriculum of the IB Middle Years programme.

We also ask

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of different teaching and educational methodologies;
  • Effectively engage students by using a variety of teaching strategies;
  • Skilled in creating lesson material;
  • Skilled in creative solution thinking.
