Are you an innovative and enthusiastic teacher looking to inspire your students, if so we are looking for a science teacher to join our strong science faculty from January or Easter 2025. We welcome applications from ECT’s.
Our core subject leaders work in close collaboration to continue to drive whole school performance.
Wheelers Lane is an established and successful school, where 72% of our students achieved grade 4 including English and maths. 52% of students achieved grade 5 including English and maths. In science triple science students achieved 100% and double science students achieved 79%. Students who gained 2 qualifications in science was 84%.

Wheelers Lane Technology College is a mainstream, non-denominational secondary school for boys aged 11-16. It is situated in Kings Heath, Birmingham, and it has 682 pupils on its roll. It was rated “outstanding” after its 2014 Ofsted inspection.
Wheelers Lane is a special place where both students and staff feel a real sense of belonging. You walk through the front door and it just feels right.

“Boys attain higher standards than all students nationally. The progress they make put the school in the top 3% of schools nationally in 2013. In 2014, an even stronger picture is evident. Students eligible for additional funding achieve higher standards and make better progress than all students nationally; the lower attainment apparent in most schools for such students has been eliminated at Wheelers Lane.”
