- Subject Leaders/Teachers who are looking to take step back from leadership duties to align with responsibilities outside of employment.
About the role
As a regional teacher you will be based for extended periods of time (1 term – 1 Academic Year) at one of our 8 Teesside Schools throughout the academic year, with the possibility of moving across schools in following terms/years, or work across multiple sites on an ongoing basis throughout the academic year.
Working with the departments of the schools you are based in, you will focus on supporting the department through providing a high-quality teaching experience to students, ensuring high standards through effective teaching and learning, including preparation, evaluation and action planning. You will become an integral part of the department you join, allowing you to experience working with various department teams as well as work in a cross-curricular way to support subject across the academy.
Location: Based on suitability, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work at our academies across the Teesside area.
This role would be open to a Job Share opportunity.
What we are looking for
As this role may require an individual to work across multiple academic teams throughout the academic year, we are looking for an individual that has the ability to hit the ground running, both in terms of relationship building with staff and students, as well as their ability to provide an affective teaching and learning experience.

Additional incentives

- Levelling-up payment: £1,500 – £3,000 per annum until 31 August 2025 for chemistry and physics teachers (application required – more information can be found here)

We are an 11-16 academy based in the large, north-east town of Middlesbrough.
The academy received a good judgement in their 2017 Ofsted inspection. However in July 2022 the academy was given a notice to improve judgement. Leadership has significantly changed and a comprehensive improvement plan has been implemented to secure sustainable long term change for the academy.
