Currently enrolling pupils from Nursery to Year 11, we plan to expand to Year 12, with an anticipated enrolment of around 1,200 pupils. At Stonyhurst International School Penang, which opened in 2022, educators play a crucial role in guiding pupils toward their potential. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach two sciences across various year groups, including A Level.
- Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum.
- Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school through activities and initiatives.
- Participate actively in weekly CPD sessions and department meetings.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant will be required to have the following:
- A degree in a science-related field.
- PGCE/iPGCE or with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), if applicable.
- Experience teaching at IGCSE and A Level preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.
- Commitment to the pastoral care and development of pupils.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Salary
The school will offer successful candidates a highly competitive salary package including housing allowance, end of service gratuity, medical insurance and airfares for the teacher, spouse and dependents along with fees remission for up to two dependent children.
The post will be offered subject to satisfactory references, a medical examination, International Child Protection Certificate & successful Background Check.
