Do you want to make a difference to the outcomes for all students in a school where staff ‘have high expectations’ [Ofsted 2023]
We have a vacancy for a Science Technician and are eager to appoint someone with enthusiasm and good organisational skills to provide technical support to the Science department. You will need a flexible approach to work, and an ability to work to deadlines to join our established successful Science team. Previous experience is not essential as training can be given.
Work experience in a science-based occupation or a science qualification (particularly in Chemistry or Physics) would be beneficial.
This role is supported with an advanced Apprenticeship in Laboratory Technician L3, which would prove hugely beneficial for candidates seeking progression to senior Science Technician.
The successful candidate will:
- Be committed to comprehensive education
- Have students at the heart of what drives their decision making
If you would to like work in a vibrant and progressive environment, we would love to hear from you. You will join a committed, successful and supportive team. As a school, colleagues benefit from a complementary package of health- related support provided by Education Mutual. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful secondary school where our students are ‘happy and proud of their achievements’ [Ofsted 2023].

HEADTEACHER'S WELCOME
I am proud and privileged to be the Headteacher of The Henry Beaufort School. The young people of our school both humble and inspire me every day of my working life. Our school is a wonderful place for children to learn.
At The Henry Beaufort School, we share an inclusive ethos which focuses on challenge, enjoyment and success for all.
Central to any school are the students who make up our community. Our school motto, ‘Pride, Happiness, Ambition 'where pupils are happy, and proud of their achievements.’ [Ofsted 2023]
Our core values are centred on independent learning. Our students are resilient learners who take pride in being confident, articulate young citizens. We have a five-year plan of education for all of our young people and record opportunities for:

We encourage students to take part in enrichment activities in order to fulfil their potential, whether it is within sport, the expressive arts or as part of the many experiences we offer at The Henry Beaufort School. As a result, our school day is extended to allow students to participate in a wide range of opportunities. This is supported by a late bus service 3 nights a week.
Our school is committed to:
The fundamental role that we play in the academic and moral education of young people.
Placing our young people at the heart of every decision we make, ‘Pupils benefit from strong relationships with staff who model positive behaviour and have high expectations of them.’ [Ofsted 2023]
